Captain’s Armbands for Major Belgian Cycling Classics Earlier this year, we produced the captain’s armbands for several major Belgian cycling events — including iconic races such as Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, Gent–Wevelgem and the Tour of Flanders. A project where speed, precision and reliability were essential. The organisers required strong elastic bands that could withstand intensive use while remaining comfortable during the events. For this project, we used a wide 9 cm elastic, which we cut to the exact required length in our production. Protective covers and custom textile solutions for museums At Devos Arrotex, textile craftsmanship goes beyond production and manufacturing — it’s also about creating sustainable solutions for highly specific applications. A great example of this are the protective covers we developed for the War Heritage Institute. These covers are designed to safely preserve valuable historical uniforms and costumes in storage. This project required high-end custom work: the fabric had to be completely free of any chemical substances that could damage delicate museum pieces.
