Bias tape is a strip of fabric cut diagonally (at a 45° angle to the fabric grain). This diagonal cut gives the tape a slight stretch and great flexibility, making it ideal for finishing curved or rounded edges in garments and textile products.

Yes. Devos Arrotex manufactures custom textile products and solutions. Depending on the application, the available processes include cutting, folding, sewing, perforating and printing.

Devos also manufactures finished articles. Examples already shown on our website include mattress handles, shoulder straps for sports bags, suit bags, protective covers and other specific textile products.

We can process materials from our own range as well as fabrics supplied by the customer. For technical applications, we can also supply materials that have been treated with fire retardants, coated or laminated.

Every application is different. We therefore discuss with the customer which materials and processes are suitable for the required product.

Yes. Devos Arrotex processes materials from its own range as well as fabrics and textile materials supplied by customers. This type of production is also known as contract manufacturing.

Depending on the material and the intended application, customer-supplied fabrics can be cut on the bias or straight grain, slit to width, cut to length, folded or further manufactured.

Our cutting capabilities include cold cutting, hot cutting, ultrasonic cutting, die cutting and digital CNC cutting. The appropriate method depends on the material. Ultrasonic cutting is used for synthetic materials, while hot cutting can seal edges that would otherwise fray.

Devos Arrotex supplies a broad range of elastic on rolls or bobbins. The range includes braided, knitted and woven elastic.

Our website features:

  • crocheted and braided elastic;
  • woven elastic;
  • recycled elastic;
  • buttonhole elastic;
  • elastic with a silicone non-slip finish;
  • elastic cord;
  • shiny elastic with a folding line;
  • custom elastic;
  • fire-retardant elastic for technical applications.

The most common widths range from 10 to 30 mm, although the available width varies by product. Black and white are common colours, while specific colours are available on request.

Elastic can also be cold-cut or ultrasonically cut to length.

Yes. Devos Arrotex carries out smaller specialist assignments as well as larger production runs. Our website presents custom projects produced both in small batches and at larger volumes.

Our cutting and die-cutting capabilities can also be used for small and large quantities. The appropriate production method depends on the material, the required processing and the finished product.
