At Bandfabriek Devos in Kruisem, near Ghent, piping is produced daily for various sectors and end products. In our sector, piping cord is also known as welting cord. Here, a cord is stitched into the fabric. The available cord thicknesses are 2, 4 or 6 mm. These piping cords are eventually used in the finish of pillows, clothing, mattresses or bed linen, for example. We also do a lot of contract work, where we process the fabric(s) provided to us by the customer into piping cord.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Step 2: choose a cord thickness<\/h1><\/div>

You decide which cord thickness you want to use. Bear in mind that not every thickness will fit on every size of fabric.

1 mm (only possible with 20\/10)
\n2 mm (only possible with 20\/10 and 30\/15)
\n4 mm (only possible with 30\/15 and 40\/20)
\n6 mm (only possible with 50\/25 and 60\/30)<\/p>\n<\/div>

Step 3: choose the width after folding<\/h1><\/div>

10 mm (20\/10)
\n15 mm (30\/15)
\n20 mm (40\/20)
\n25 mm (50\/25)
